Accommodation

Camping at the Club 

A limited number of campsites are available, and sites must be booked via the club. To reserve a site or for more information, please email the TASC Vice President - email Evan McHugh 

Charter Boats

NB Sailsports have Optimist and ILCA charter boats available.

O'pen Skiff Association has O'pen Skiffs available for charter. 

Pop-up Shop

Boat Crew Gear will be on site, you can pre-order apparel to collect at the event or browse a range of gear at the Boat Crew Gear tent! 

Catering & Lunch Orders

The club has a licensed canteen with selected food and drinks for purchase. 

Lunch packs from the club canteen can be pre-ordered for each day of the event. Orders must be submitted by 10am the day before

Registration

Registration will be in the TASC clubhouse. The registration desk will be open from Friday 3rd October 3pm to 4pm, and Saturday 4th October from 8:30 to 9:45am

Competitors are required to visit the registration desk to confirm their attendance and intention to compete at the regatta, as well as collect your Zhik competitor packs! 

We kindly ask all competitors who have registered via online registration to check their competitor details before the first race. Any changes to competitor details must be made before 10:00am on Saturday 4th October. Once racing is underway, competitors will be required to submit a change of competitor details form, available from the Regatta Office.

Regatta Office

The Regatta Office is located upstairs in the TASC clubhouse. The Regatta Office will be open during the following hours:

  • Friday 3rd October: 1500-1600
  • Saturday 4th October: 0830-1700 (Registration ends 0945)
  • Sunday 5th October: 0830-1700
  • Monday 5th October: 0830-1700

Sign On & Sign Off

Competitors are required to SIGN ON and SIGN OFF for each racing day. Sign ON and OFF will be via paper sheets, available downstairs in the boatshed area each day. 

Support Boats

Support boats (including coach, spectator and parent support baots) must register and acknowledge the Safety regulations published in the regatta race documents.

  • Vessels must display identification, including a visible vessel registration number and a club flag or burgee.
  • Operators are requested to carry a VHF Radio and listen to the allocated channel for the course area. 
  • All occupants are recommended to wear a lifejacket and kill cords must be worn by the operator

Registered support boats may tie up and stay in allocated areas as designated by the Organising Authority. Terms & Conditions apply.

Rigging Area Access

Please refer to the sitemap for the rigging area locations and the nearest drop-off points for boats. As space will be limited, please drop off your boat and move your car and trailer immediately.

Parking & Trailers

Please refer to the site plan outlining vehicle and trailer parking. Follow all signage and directions given by event officials. Do not leave valuables inside your vehicle, and a trailer lock should be used to secure the trailer when not in use. The road trailer parking area will be locked during the event. 

Boat Ramps

There are several boat ramps located around the foreshores of Lake Macquarie. The closest ramp is immediately located to the south of TASC, on Wharf Street.

First Aid & Medical

First Aid is available from the Regatta Office and Canteen in the TASC clubhouse. 

John Hunter Hospital (20 mins away) - is the nearest hospital with an emergency department that admits children under 18.
