Preparations are well underway for Youth Sail events around the country, with dates for QLD, WA, NSW and TAS events all set for September and October 2022. 

The Youth Sail events will all feature relevant state Youth Championships as well as multi-day Coaching clinics with top coaches from around Australia.

The most talented youth sailors from all around Australia are expected to take part in order to hone their skills before competing for a spot on the podium. A fantastic way to gain regatta experience, Youth Sail events are inclusive and provide an ideal testing opportunity for new teams and techniques. 

Registrations are now open for the following 2022 Youth Sail Events:

• Youth Sail QLD – Hosted by the Keppel Bay Sailing Club in Yeppoon, the Queensland edition of the Youth Sail series is scheduled for September 19-24. The Coaching Clinic will make up the first three days of the event, with competition beginning on the fourth. Both the coaching clinic and regatta are open to all Australian Sailing youth classes, including a Green Fleet division in the sheltered waters of Causeway Lake. For more information click here.

• Youth Sail WA – The WA Coaching Clinic and state Youth Championships will be hosted by the Mounts Bay Sailing Club on the banks of the Swan River from September 24-29. An in-depth opportunity for youth sailors to develop their skills, the coaching clinic will run for four days from the 24-27 of the month followed on by the WA Youth Championships. • Youth Sail NSW – Point Wolstoncroft welcomes all junior and youth sailors to sail on the waters of Lake Macquarie from September 28 - October 3 at NSW Youth Sail. This six-day event will see youth sailors attend a coaching clinic for the first three days, with competition for the NSW Youth Championships beginning on October 1. For more information click here.

• Youth Sail TAS – The Tasmanian edition of the Youth Sail series will take place between October 6-9 at Wynyard Yacht Club on the northern shores of the state. The coaching clinic will run over the first two days of the event, with the TAS Youth Championships scheduled to start on October 8. For more information click here.
