Registrations for Springsail, the first regatta in the Victorian Sailing Cup, have now opened. The event comprises of a regatta and coaching clinic held at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) in conjunction with Australian Sailing.
John Kint, RGYC Commodore, is looking forward to the event that showcases the next generation of junior and youth sailors. “RGYC invite dinghy sailors of all ages and abilities to our club for the season opening Springsail regatta. Young and old, the smallest opti to the largest Flying Dutchman, we invite everyone equally.”
The Coaching Clinic to follow the regatta, will be conducted by Australian Sailing at RGYC over the first two days of the school break. “This is a chance for all sailors to kick-start their season with short and sharp racing and re-hone their skills as we launch into Spring for the 2018/19 season.”
Rio Olympian and Australian Sailing’s Head of State Coaching in Victoria, Carrie Smith will be the guest speaker at the clinic.
