Australian Sailing in conjunction with host club Adelaide Sailing Club has decided to postpone the 2020 SA Youth Championship to March 2021. The  South Australia Government has put restrictions on sporting activities due to the current COVID-19 situation in SA.

The event will now be rescheduled to take place over the March long weekend (6th - 7 March 2021) which provided the most suitable time slot and one that the SA Youth Champs are familiar with having been hosted over the March long weekend in past years.

Australian Sailing recognises the importance of youth sailing to the development of life long participants and the future stars of our sport, and are committed to ensuring appropriate opportunities for emerging athletes to compete at regattas as and when the time is right.

Adelaide Sailing Club Commodore - Peter Royle says ‘for the sailing community the best time to hold the SA Youth Championships is the long weekend in March. Racing will be held over the two days to allow regional sailors who attend the SA Youth Championships to travel back home’.
