Sydney 29er sailors, Max Paul and Lachlan Brewer have been selected as finalists for the Mizuno Junior Athlete of the Year Award at the 2018 NSW Institute of Sport annual awards presentation.

The Middle Harbour Yacht Club members have had a busy year competing across the country and overseas. Max Paul found recent success finishing first in the 2018 New Zealand 29er nationals and first at the NSW Youth Championships with Lachlan Brewer finishing a close third at the NSW Youth Championships.

“I’m super stoked to be nominated for the NSWIS awards, it’s a great recognition for the amount of hours and tough work Max and I have spent training this season.” Said Brewer.

Both Max and Lachlan are the only sailing athletes to be selected as finalists in any category at the awards. The winners will be announced tonight and you can follow the action via the NSWIS socials.
