This year the NSW Youths is incorporating the NSW Youth Keelboat Championships out of Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club at the same time of the NSW Youth Championships

With WS introduction Off Shore sailing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, this year the NSW Youths is offering the NSW Youth Keelboat Championships held at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club. The inaugural event will be held at the same time as the NSW Youth Championships at Point Wolstoncroft on Lake Macquarie.

The event is designed to promote and develop keelboat sailing by providing youth sailors with an enjoyable and high standard “around the buoys” inshore racing experience with teams from across NSW invited to attend. Commodore Steve Rae welcomes youth crews “The NSW Youth Keelboat Championship provides a racing platform for competition between the next generation of up and coming yacht racers.”

The NSW Youth Keelboat Championships will include a round-robin competition & finals format, allowing teams from clubs across NSW to race on our Olympic fleet of Elliott 6's!

Carl Webster, the Regional Manager for NSW “welcomes the NSW Youth Keelboat Championships to the format held on the 3 – 5 October.”

As part of your entry, you will have access to an Elliott 6m on Friday 2nd October for training. Two training sessions have been scheduled – 10:00 am to 12noon and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm – first in best dressed! Other training opportunities may be available by arrangement.
