As one of the first sports to sign up to the National Integrity Framework, which includes a robust Child Safeguarding Policy, sailing is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We believe that every child should feel safe, supported, and comfortable to express their identity and personality.
Our policies and procedures establish child-safe culture as a core element of the sport, and we are always reviewing our progress and looking for ways to make our sport safer and more inclusive.
Our Child Safeguarding Commitment Statement reads:
Australian Sailing is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all Children that are involved in our sport. Our policies and procedures seek to address risks to child safety and to establish child safe culture and practices.
