The final youth interclub event on the SA calendar was held on 15-16 February at Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club.

With 90 sailors in 7 classes, and a good southerly breeze coming in on both days, it was a perfect weekend.

In the Optimist Open class, Austin Higgins (BSYC) was way out in front finishing on 8 points, with Charlie Piro (BSYC) and Murphy Cowen (LBSC) close in second and third on 22 and 23 points each.

A similar story played out in the Opti Intermediate fleet with Paige Griggs (BSYC) finishing 1^st with 7 points, followed by Lilly Driver (BSYC) on 19 and Hamish Robinson (BSYC) on 26.

In the Opti Green Fleet Olivia Young (ASC) finished 1^st on 10 points, with Toby Phillips (BSYC) 2^nd on 22 points and Alex Wilson (GAC) close behind in 3^rd on 23 points.

In the International Cadets, Darcy Conry & Sophie Ward (LBSC) finished 1^st with 11 points, close behind was Max Sturman & Ella Green (PLYC) with 12 points, in 3^rd place was Zane Chaplin & Jack Thompson (LBSC) on 22 points.

In the International 420 class only 3 entries hit the water, Ben Hinks & Taryn Sanderson came 1^st on 7 points, Alexi Wigglesworth & Jonas Barrett came 2^nd on 14 points, Carter Baker & Braden Griffiths came 3^rd on 19 points.

A good fleet of 11 4.7 Lasers hit the water, with Izaak Hart (GAC) came 1^st on 12 points, Benjamin Newman (ASC) came 2^nd on 16 points, in 3^rd was Linxiao Li (BSYC).

In the Laser Radial, John Gordon (ASC) dominated the fleet coming 1^st on 8 points, 2^nd was Tom Chambers (BSYC) on 26 points, with Lachlan Roe coming 3^rd on 43 points.

The Tri Series is made up of the Regional Regatta held in Port Lincoln in October, the SA Youth Champs held at Largs bay SC in November and the Metro Tri Series. The combined results from all three are used to decide the overall best performing club for the season, with Brighton & Seacliff winning the trophy for the third year in a row.
