NSWIS Scholarship holders Littlechild, Ferguson finish 420 Open Worlds training

Published Mon 24 Jun 2019

NSWIS Scholarship holders Ryan Littlechild and Jack Ferguson together with the other 420 training partners have completed their lead up training for the upcoming 420 Open Worlds championships held in Portugal.

They have been working hard and evaluating every aspect of their racing which will also put them in a position to be a major contender in the upcoming World Youth Championships in Poland straight after the 420 Worlds.

The NSWIS 420 program has 2 x male and 2 x female crews in the squad with intense training over the last few weeks leading up to the major regattas.

As a coach of the squad I have been impressed with the development of the training partners where the scholarship holders have been pushed hard and challenged in the training.

I am particularly pleased to see them as youths have a well rounded understanding of the fundamentals of their sailing that will put them in a great position in their sailing careers.
