Keppel Bay Sailing Club located in Yeppoon is set to host this event in its 13^th year from Monday 23^rd – Saturday 28^th September. Yeppoon is situated on Queensland’s central coast which allows sailors from both North and South Queensland to come together to learn new skills and form new friendships. Sailor’s will have the opportunity to take part in a 3 day coaching clinic with some of the best coaches from around the country before competing in the Australian Sailing Queensland Youth Championships.

This year KBSC with the help of funding from Australian Sailing Queensland hopes to add more coaching contact time for sailors into this year’s event by ensuring the continuation of coaching support following on from the coaching clinic into the 3 days of Championship racing. Keppel Bay Sailing Club’s Sports Coordinator said ‘’offering as much coaching support as possible during this event is particularly important for Queensland’s regional athletes whom often don’t receive the same amount of coaching contact time as their competitors located in major cities’’
