In line with the commitment to support development of youth sailors in collaboration with class associations, Australian Sailing is calling for expressions of interest from AS Qualified Sailing Coaches for Youth Squad Camps and international regattas in 2024.
In 2023 Australian Sailing launched our inaugural Youth Squad, which is a program of training and learning via coaching and webinars that prepares youth sailors for international competition in a squad environment.
What a fantastic weekend… The 2023 ZHIK Youth Sail SA Youth Championships were over the two-day weekend of the 25th and 26th of November and brought together youth sails from across the state.
The breeze picked up on day two of the 2023 Zhik Queensland Youth Championships in Yeppoon, providing the sailors with glamour conditions on what has been officially announced as the final day of racing due to adverse weather conditions expected to hit the beach tomorrow.
Coach development is a priority at Zhik Youth Sail events around the country, with the Zhik Youth Sail QLD event leading the charge and providing specialised support and professional development opportunities to 27 coaches from across QLD, NT and the Solomon Islands.
