The second day of the NSW Youth Championships saw hundreds of sailors from far and wide launch onto Lake Macquarie for the penultimate day of the state’s 2024 Zhik Youth Sail event.
Sunny skies made for an inviting start to the Youth Championships this morning, with more than 245 sailors from all but one of Australia’s states and territories taking to the water for the regatta portion of the 2024 Zhik Youth Sail New South Wales event.
After a fantastic three days on the water, the Coaching Clinic portion of the 2024 Zhik Youth Sail New South Wales event wrapped up today on Lake Macquarie.
The second day of the 2024 Zhik Youth Sail New South Wales Coaching Clinic was as successful as the first, with sailors and coaches from around the country working together to sharpen skills and hone techniques.
Hosted by Teralba Amateur Sailing Club, the opening day of the 2024 Zhik Youth Sail New South Wales event saw 120 sailors on more than 100 boats welcomed to Lake Macquarie’s western shore.

The 420 fleet at WSC has been gradually growing over the past few months. The Development and Performance Squads have been active on Saturdays and Sundays under the guidance of Dan Smith and Josh Dawson. It has been fantastic to see a number of new skippers and crews get together to try out and develop their skills in the 420.
